Krabi Town part I

So last week we went on a family vacation to Krabi, Thailand. I must say, this was a much more successful vacation than our Batam trip as far as these things go.  We arrived on a Wednesday evening, and left on Saturday morning.

A list:
Pool
Beach
Kayak
Caves
Elephants

1) Pool
The kids love the pools, they had an amazing kids area with 3 slides and Jace could touch the whole length and breadth of the pool.

The older girls quickly made some friends

Some more fun pool pics

A random creepy clown came and gave/made some balloon toys. Brighton got a flower. She quickly bit the stem, which popped.  Luckily I got a few pictures before that happened.

Here's the clown plus some assistants.
We decided to take a "Longtail" (boats have these really long outboard motors which look like a long tail). It was about 400 Bhat to Railay Beach for the family (about $12) each way.

Jace was not happy to be riding a boat. For some reason he gets pretty freaked out at first.  We told him to smile so he frowned. Then we said at least the frog is smiling. So he covered the frog's face (on his life jacket).

Brighton was happy to be on the boat.

The girls started off in the Bow, but it was pretty hot, so they quickly moved under the shelter.

Faith at the beach, it was quite picturesque.
The water was pretty clear, and it was surrounded by these really cool rock formations.

Some random pictures from the boat ride over (it took about 15 minutes)

Here was the restaurant we ate at. The Pizza was pretty good, as you'll hear from Brighton. The views were incredible.
