Easter Bunny Kevin.

If you recall from a few years ago when Kevin was dressed as the Easter Bunny at a party the girls went to and ever since they've firmly believed that he is the Easter Bunny. As in the one that goes all over the world to deliver goodies to families on Easter Morn. http://garrettfamilia.blogspot.com/2010/04/easter.html  -

You can see the below notes that the girls wrote to the Easter Bunny.  They were very impressed with their baskets this year (Thanks Kevin!), especially the Cheetos (how did you know!).

Just click to see larger sized:
Kate's Translation - Easter Bunny Kevin. I hope you will have a good time at Dental School. From Kate.

Faith's Translation: Dear Easter Bunny. I hope that...[distraction, decides to go a different direction with it] Can you   [here she gets discouraged and decides to enlist Suzy's help] tell me what I have?

Bark at the Moon

Marshall somewhat recently gave Kate and Faith the pictured two wolves.  He is the originator of the famous Snarls the Wolf stories which our girls love! (Snarly haaaachooo! for any who recognize the signature Snarls the Wolf sound bite).

Kate named the dark one "Snarls the Wolf" after the aforementioned hero.  Faith named hers "Wolfie Wedding".  Plus I wanted to show the below picture which shows Jace trying to copy his sister's sideways head pose.

Tis March 17th

I've been a poor blogger lately. So, below is from St. Patrick's day.  Suzy and I went out and my Mom watched the kids.  When we got home, we were quite impressed at the below invention of Kate's.  If you recall from last year, the leprechaun escaped the trap by chewing through the box. So this year, Kate covered the sides in Aluminium foil so he wouldn't be able to do that.  You'll also notice all the inducements Kate provided to attract the unsuspecting little guy.

You'll notice below that the leprechaun escaped again this year!! Luckily he left a note for the wee lasses. And he left some yummy chocolate coins for the girls.

Pink basketballs

I love that Jace likes guy things. Like basketballs, footballs, airplanes (he does the noise whenever he sees a picture of one or hears one).  This does provide comfort on the occasions when he wants to walk around wearing women's shoes (usually Suzy's), or decides that the crayon he really wants is the Pink one (like he recently did at Church, despite the fact that I offered him a blue and a black one to choose from). I attribute this to the womanly influence of his sisters.

Names

You may or may not know, but Suzy's preggers again. She's due in November. We were discussing names over dinner (one of my favorite activities). I'm super excited to not find out the gender of our poor genderless baby. Mostly because this means we get to discuss both boy and girl names instead of only one or the other.

We asked Kate what girls names she wanted. She calmly informed us that she didn't want to discuss girl names since she wanted a boy baby.  In fact, she told us if its a girl, we can just call it Sister girl, or Sister human (if you know the Berenstain Bears, they have a character named Sister Bear - she referenced this as a source in her decision to call the new baby, if a girl, by her title). If it's a boy, she either wants Sam or River.  But especially River. She even gave me a significant look (I think women/girls are born knowing how to give significant looks) and said, "yup, that's the one"

ps - we will find out the gender of the baby after it's born. We hope.
